New bill of materials
Back to listOne bill of materials per product. It says what goes into one run, which work centers it passes through, and what else the run yields.
All quantities below are per the yield above: if a run yields 5 and needs 2 of a component, an order for 15 consumes 6. Scrap % adds the expected loss on top (5% plans 5% more). Operation minutes are per run and exclude the work center's own setup and cleanup time, which are added when work orders are generated.
Operations (routing)
There are no work centers yet, so this recipe can't have a routing. Add a work center first if you want work orders and conversion cost; a recipe with components only still works.
Components
| Component | Quantity per run | Scrap % | Consumed at operation | |

By-products
None. Add one when a run also yields something you keep in stock (offcuts, a co-product); its cost share moves that part of the run's cost onto it.
